The approach used in this training is unique in that it covers the complete electrical installation from the service equipment to the panel and
finally to the loads. All along the way, the participant will apply the necessary calculations as required by the National Electrical Code (NEC).
This course will cover the sizing of branch and feeder conductors with respect to voltage drop limits, load types (motor and non-motor), ambient
air temperatures, continuous and non-continuous loads, insulation type, number of conductors in a raceway, and the device termination temperature
rating. The sizing of over-current protection devices (OCPD) at the service equipment and panel board will be covered along with the sizing of
motor overloads. In additions, electrical box-fill maximums will be calculated.
Who should attend: Individuals who want to apply the NEC to various installations.
All participants should bring a calculator
